Abus enters the era of network security

Muhlhausen, Germany

Recently at the Security 2012 show in Essen, Germany, the four Abus companies Abus August Bremicker Söhne KG, Abus Security-Center GmbH & Co. KG, Abus Pfaffenhain GmbH, and Seccor high security GmbH presented the new Ultivest wireless alarm system plus more than 30 other product innovations.

Abus has a new vision for the future - one-stop network security solutions making full uses of the synergies of the Abus companies and systematically blending window and door security, electronics, alarm and video surveillance, and lockup and access control on an integrated basis.

With the new mechanical additional safeguards for doors, the Abus Group demonstrated its competence in the area of easy-to-install retrofitting systems. Highlights at the trade fair stand included the innovative access control system of the CodeLoxx series from Seccor as well as the newly developed lockup system Y14 Deltus and the Bravus lockup system, which is based on four levels that build on each other. According to Abus, both systems offer an as yet unrivaled combination of patent protection, trademark protection, and technical copy protection. The newly developed apps for alarm systems, video surveillance, and fire safety show that Abus is in tune with technological development with mobile enabled security. Abus also demonstrated a range of video solutions – from starter cameras to highly professional HD-SDI and IP cameras to the Tribrid HDVR video surveillance recorder – and they put an emphasis on their “made in Germany” status.

The new high-end wireless alarm system Ultivest, which was presented exclusively at a second trade fair stand, is an ideal product for networking. The bundled security expertise of the Abus Group is demonstrated in its seamlessly integrated functional diversity. From sophisticated wireless alarm technology and active burglary protection with mechatronic components to video integration and access control to integration in the building management system using KNX, Ultivest is designed to cover everything.

Michael Bräuer, Marketing and Public Relations Director at Abus KG, was very satisfied with the participation in “security essen” 2012: “With the topic of network security, we were trendsetters at the fair. Our thanks goes out to the many partners who took the time to learn about the many innovations of the Abus Group at the new trade fair stand.”
