Mobotix is expanding its One platform with an intelligent, ultra-compact sensor system for professional indoor applications, called the Mobotix C One.

The new camera combines 180° hemispheric technology, 4K image quality, integrated video analytics, audio functions, and IR and white light illumination in a housing just 120 millimeters in diameter. This enables powerful 360° room coverage while reducing installation and operating costs.

The new system combines functions that in many applications previously required multiple separate components into a single intelligent sensor. This simplifies planning, installation, and operation while also laying the technological foundation for current and future AI-based applications.

“With the C One, we’re not just launching a new camera—we’re systematically expanding our One platform to include an intelligent sensor system for secure buildings. Our goal was to combine maximum functionality with an exceptionally compact design while significantly reducing installation effort. The C One embodies exactly what Mobtix has always been known for: intelligent, decentralised systems that are powerful, cyber-secure, and a sound long-term investment,” comments Dr. Christian Cabirol, CTO of Mobotix AG.

Decentralised architecture

The C One features a 180° hemispheric lens with a 4K day/night image sensor and enables complete 360° room coverage with just one device. The system is complemented by integrated microphone and speaker functions, IR and white light LEDs, and the proven Mobotix Activitysensor for precise motion detection. Thanks to the decentralised Mobotix architecture, the C One can be operated without a server or video management system.

With a standard 64 GB microSD card and support for up to 2 Tb of internal storage, the latest video codecs such as H.264, H.265, and MxPEG+, and an optimised PoE Class 3 power supply, the C One is suitable for a wide range of professional applications—from office buildings and hotels to educational institutions and healthcare and nursing facilities.

Smart sensor for nursing environments

A particularly important application area for the new camera is the healthcare and nursing market. With the Mobotix C One serving as the sensor for the Nurseassist solution, the C One platform is being further developed into a smart sensor for modern nursing environments. The solution, which Mobotix developed in Germany and markets in collaboration with Kepler Vision Technologies, combines AI-powered fall detection, preventive care functions, data-privacy-compliant analysis, audio communication, and integration with existing call and management systems. The goal is to increase residents’ safety, provide targeted support to caregivers, and reduce routine checks—without having to permanently store or unnecessarily transmit sensitive video data. In this way, the C One exemplifies how intelligent video sensor technology can evolve into industry-specific solutions that deliver tangible added value.

Protecting existing investments

A key advantage of the new camera is its backward-compatible hardware design for existing C25 and C26 installations. With identical housing dimensions and compatible mounting components, the C One can be integrated into existing projects without the need for extensive structural modifications. Mobotix thus protects existing investments while making it easy to transition to the new One platform.

The C One combines high standards for cyber security, data protection, and reliability with the proven decentralised Mobotix architecture. A five-year warranty and an MTBF of 100,000 hours help to underscore the company’s commitment to quality and durability.

“With the introduction of the C One, Mobotix is continuing to consistently expand its One platform. Together with the M One and S One models, this creates a powerful product family that covers a variety of application areas, all built on a common technological foundation—for greater simplicity, investment security, and future-proofing,” concludes Dr. Cabirol.
