Through the partnership, the Kepler Night Nurse application will run on I-Pro's Gen AI fisheye camera, powered by the Ambarella CV72 AI vision SoC and is set to be available from October 2026. Combining advanced edge-AI processing with high-quality imaging, the solution helps care teams identify patient safety events sooner without requiring additional processing hardware. The application uses AI to recognise activity that may require caregiver attention, such as a patient attempting to leave a bed or a potential fall. When the system detects these events, it sends a real-time alert through a nurse calling system so caregivers can assess the situation and respond based on the patient's needs. This can help teams focus their attention where it is most needed, while reducing routine room checks that may disturb patients and add workload for staff.

Designed using open architecture

Kepler selected I-Pro's Gen AI camera platform for its advanced edge processing capabilities, open architecture, and ability to support AI applications at the edge. Because I-Pro cameras are built on an open architecture, third-party applications such as Kepler Night Nurse can run directly on the camera, allowing healthcare organisations to deploy new AI-powered capabilities without the need for additional servers or processing equipment. In healthcare environments, where patient data privacy is paramount, this allows patient safety events to be processed at the edge without relying on external servers or cloud infrastructure. This approach helps reduce unnecessary data movement while supporting real-time alerts and simpler deployment. 

Kepler Night Nurse will be available through a flexible licensing model. This provides healthcare organisations with a practical path to adopt AI-based patient safety monitoring without committing to a large infrastructure project upfront.
