Touchless Biometric Systems’ TBS Biomanager interfaces with the LenelS2 Onguard access control system, extending it by a multitude of biometric readers featuring touch and touchless fingerprint, face and iris recognition. The software interface allows the operator to manage cardholders, including biometric registration using Onguard, while the TBS subsystem works as an automated solution in the background.
“Touchless Biometric Systems has completed required factory testing at Lenel S2 to validate the functionality of its interface to the Onguard system. Onguard users can now authenticate with their fingerprint, face or iris to open doors”, said John Marchioli, OAAP Product Management, Lenel S2. “We look forward to their continued involvement in the Lenel S2 Openaccess Alliance Program.”
“With our TBS extension, the operators can fully manage their cardholders and biometrics using Onguard; our interface ensures that cardholder data is automatically synchronized to the TBS subsystem. Biometrics can be registered directly from OnGuard, selecting any connected TBS device as the enrollment source. This provides ultimate flexibility to operators and end users while biometric template data is securely stored and separated within the biometric engine of TBS”, states Philippe Niederhauser, Chief Sales Officer at TBS.
The TBS Biomanager interface uses the TBS Synctool and TBS Enrollplugin, achieving a server-to-server interface. This allows customers to deploy multiple biometric technologies (fingerprint, hand, iris, or face) within a single installation. All biometric templates are stored in encrypted form and transmitted over secure communication channels.
