Securitas settles Paragon account with US government

Stockholm, Sweden

Earlier this year we reported that Securitas had announced it had set a provision of approximately USD 53 million ( Swedish SEK 551 million) relating to a U.S. Government investigation into Paragon Systems, Inc, a U.S.-based subsidiary within the business unit Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services.

According to the company, the investigation related to alleged misconduct by certain former employees and to Paragon’s relationship with various small business entities which were a direct or indirect party to contracts with the U.S. Government starting around 2012. Paragon was cooperating fully with the investigation.

As of 14th November, 2024 in a statement the company now says that the investigation and the settlement have been concluded.

Securitas will be paying the settlement of USD 52 million, plus other costs relating to the investigation of around USD 1 million, throughout 2025.
