Suomen Turvalukko was originally founded in the 90s as a family-owned locksmith but got a fresh start in 2018 when second-generation entrepreneur Samu Sallinen took over the business. In connection with the new start-up, Jimi Väisänen joined the company and together the two entrepreneurs have further developed the company and in a short time built up a successful business with a strong range and a good reputation in the region.

Since start-up, the company has shown strong growth based on a high level of service and good relations with the region's construction and real estate companies, housing associations, industry, retail, and the public sector. Sales are primarily driven by service and aftermarket as well as a fast-growing e-commerce. During the last financial year, the company had a turnover of nearly EUR 2.4 million with 11 employees based in the offices in Kuopio (HQ) and Varkausand.
