Halma acquires healthcare critical communications business

London, UK

Halma, the global group of life-saving technology companies, has acquired Static Systems Holdings Limited ('Static Systems'), which is based in Wolverhampton, UK.

Static Systems is highly aligned to Halma’s quoted purpose of "growing a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone". It is a designer, manufacturer and installer of critical communication systems, which are central to UK healthcare trusts’ patient care infrastructure. Its technology enables hospital patients to alert healthcare specialists in an emergency, protecting lives and increasing the response time of care provided.

Static Systems’ technology, integration expertise and market presence will complement our existing Medical sector technologies, including Centrak’s Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS) which helps improve patient care by tracking assets and people in healthcare settings.

Static Systems will be managed as a standalone company and will become part of Halma’s Medical sector.

Andrew Williams, Halma Group Chief Executive, commented: "Static Systems is highly aligned with our purpose and further extends our communications presence across multiple healthcare settings. In addition to opportunities for growth in international markets and through deeper clinical and technological integration, it is envisaged that Static Systems will provide a route to the UK healthcare market for certain existing products and services within Halma’s Medical sector, including Centrak’s Real-Time Locating Systems.”
