Brand PC plans to roll out Ability’s full lineup of Intel-based edge AI camera and camera modules including the VS1NL70 AI-Vue 8MP ANPR bullet camera; the VS6NLB0 dome camera with embedded Intel Moviduis VPU and full support for Intel Distribution of Openvino Toolkit, Sony Starvis CMOS image sensor; and the VS12112 with the optional 4G LTE modem.

With the full support of Intel Distribution of Openvino Toolkit, these Intel-based camera platforms allow developers to quickly select a suitable AI model from the Public Model Zoo repository for immediate deployment, and later port their proprietary AI algorithm onto the Ability edge cameras for better deep neural network computing performance. This hybrid approach provides a faster development cycle for application developers and also reduces overall time to market.

As a result, Brand PC has been working with a number of image application specialists to develop AI-enabled software systems specifically for the vertical markets in Vietnam. In addition, Ability’s camera platforms have been retrofitted with more features and better customisation possibility. A number of functional modules like solar powered battery supply and 4G/LTE Wifi module are available to these camera platforms as an add-on optional module.
