HID gains 3 ISO certificates in 5 months for Malta site

Austin, Tx (USA)

HID Global has successfully obtained three International Standards Organization (ISO) certifications of compliance in five months for its Malta manufacturing site. The certifications affirm that all processes and procedures at its facility meet rigorous quality (ISO 9001), environmental (ISO 14001) and security (ISO 14298) requirements.

"HID’s ISO certifications reinforce our commitment to equip governments, whether large or small, with premier identity documents that are manufactured and inspected using processes that adhere to the most well-known and respected compliance standards in the industry,” said Jessica Westerouen van Meeteren, VP & Managing Director, Citizen Identity with HID Global.

HID’s Malta site was established in 2009 and has delivered more than 70 million secure identity documents, such as passport booklets, to its global customers.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the world’s largest developer and publisher of international standards for the implementation of quality and other management systems.

The focus areas of HID’s ISO 14001 environmental certifications at multiple facilities include legislative compliance, pollution prevention, minimizing energy and resource usage, while HID’s ISO 9001 certification ensures quality and safety for processes and products. Through its programme of certifications, including being one of the first companies to receive the ISO 14298 certification for security across all its manufacturing sites, HID continues to reinforce its longstanding reputation for quality.
