University campus security in the spotlight for Salto
London, UK
Aznar Sethna from Salto Systems HQ in Oiartzun, Spain talked about the latest developments in card access control and about the advantages of upgrading from masterkey and other less advanced electronic access systems, balancing the need for security with accessibility and safety, and how to create specifications for access control solutions.
He also gave an overview of Salto Data-On-Card, Salto Virtual Network and RFID Wireless technologies as well as a brief look at how new products such as the Saltogeo electronic cylinder could be used to deliver electronic access control to those doors, such listed wooden doors, where fitting conventional electronic escutcheons is not permitted or possible.
Salto Systems UK Marketing Manager Keith Carey said: “This event was a great way to inform and update existing and potential end users in Higher Education Institutions on the latest advances in campus access control technology. Several attendees commented on how valuable it was for them to learn about new technical capabilities and solutions available, and the significant cost savings that could be had by integrating a battery operated wire free stand alone system with an existing hard wired perimeter access protection system.”
