The FIPS 140-2 standard, applicable to all Federal Agencies, specifies the security requirements that must be satisfied by cryptographic modules deployed to protecting sensitive or valuable information. This certificate of validation was awarded by the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) - a program established and operated jointly by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Canadian Communications Security Establishment (CSE). The CMVP validates compliance of cryptographic modules to FIPS 140-2 and other cryptography-based standards.
