New board appointments at the Security Institute
Caldecote, Warwickshire
Mike Gillespie MSyl, will be the Institute’s new Director of Cyber Research and Security. Mike has been an active member and speaker since he joined the Institute in 2008, having spoken at the Institute regional event in Leicester earlier this year. Building up a steadfast career in the security industry, as well as being MD of his own independent, holistic consultancy, Mike will fully embrace the role by bringing his expertise in the latest information management and cyberliability legislation.
Chris Northy-Baker CSyP FSyI becomes the new Director of Risk, Governance & Ethics. Chris was previously a member of the International Institute of Security before it merged with the Security Institute in 2008. Currently Head of Security at The London Clinic, Chris has a proven track record for addressing complex issues and designing and delivering cost effective business solutions for key organisations. He works closely with Angus Darroch-Warren as a Stage 1 Assessor for the Register of Chartered Security Professionals.
Angus Darroch-Warren BA (Hons) MSc CSyP FSyI has been appointed as Director of the new Knowledge Centre, which launched in July. Angus will head up the Centre, which is the Institute’s indispensable online information resource. Angus became a member of the Institute in 2006 and then became a fellow in 2009. He is currently a senior consultant with Linx International Ltd and supports the Institute’s Validation Board providing clarity on security qualifications and relevance to the security sector as part of the new member joining process.
