Kentec invests for growth and increases capacity

Dartford, Kent

Kentec Electronics has recently added even more capacity to its already large manufacturing facility at Darford, Kent, with the installation of a new Amada EMZ 3510 NT45 automatic sheet metal punching machine.
Working alongside the company’s original Amada punch press, the new Amada will significantly increase Kentec’s production capacity and allow the company to continue to offer customers a fast order turn around, and meet rising worldwide demand for the company’s market leading fire detection and alarm control panel products. Improved and extended tooling capability will also add to productivity and enhance quality.

Kentec Director Ray King said, ‘We are totally customer focused, and are continually looking at ways in which we can improve our products and our customer service. The net result of this latest addition will be better product, faster turnaround and reduced costs which will allow us to remain at the top of an ever more competitive market’.

This new investment is the latest in a number of key developments that has seen the company grow during the last 28 years. In-house resources include a surface mount line, sheet metal fabrication, powder coating and silk screen printing, together with software development and maintenance giving Kentec the flexibility to provide customers with engineered products to precise requirements
