Kantech Intevo wins award

London, UK

The Intevo integrated security platform from Kantech, part of the Security Products business unit of Tyco, was named the winner in the Access Control category for the 2013 GIT Security Award.
The Intevo integrated security platform was voted the best access control product by votes cast by GIT Security readers as well as a panel of judges that selected Intevo as a finalist. Preloaded with Kantech’s Entrapass Corporate Edition security management software and American Dynamics IP video software, Intevo also supports the DSC Power Series, Maxsys and Bentel kyo320 and other alarm panel integrations for intrusion. Aimed at small to mid-size businesses, the easy-to-deploy Intevo easily scales to meet organisational security needs over time. Easy configuration and a customised dashboard simplify the security management functions for users.

“This recognition of Intevo reinforces our philosophy that providing an easy-to-deploy, intuitive integrated system can provide many benefits for even small to midsized applications,” said Scott McNulty, senior product manager, Kantech. “By designing these integrations at the product development level, this approach reduces time and installation costs for the end user.”

The award is determined by votes cast online, or by fax or letter, from GIT Security readers following the nomination of several finalists. The products that garnered the most votes on the GIT website were placed first, second or third in their respective categories.
