Elmdene appoints regional sales manager
Portsmouth, Hampshire
Moving ahead, in his role as one of Elmdene's Regional Sales Managers, Dean is now to be responsible for working closely on a day-to-day basis with distributors and other customers across the South of England and Wales - two major UK markets for Elmdene. With this in mind, he will be looking to identify and meet customer requirements, drive-up sales, and, crucially, to ensure that they are kept up-to-date with the company's latest product developments.
Commenting on his appointment, Dean Terry said: "I was first attracted to want to join Elmdene by the positive reputation that the business has built-up within the fire and security industry, over many decades, as a highly respected provider of first class, high quality, products and, crucially, an employer who values their staff. Already, I have been able to see the workmanship that goes into the manufacturing of Elmdene's products at first hand. If asked, what really stands out for me compared to the competition are, undoubtedly, the latest, highly efficient, switch mode power supplies."
Said Ian Moore, Managing Director, Elmdene International Limited: "We are extremely pleased to have someone of Dean's calibre join our sales team at such a pivotal moment for our business as we celebrate Elmdene's 50th anniversary this year.
The recent IFSEC International event in Birmingham, served to underline that we are well placed to provide the innovative solutions that our customers want, whether they be based in the South of England, Wales, or anywhere else across EMEA. Certainly the operational benefits of our switch mode PSU portfolio, from a higher level of efficiency (80-87%) to lower energy bills and a reduced carbon footprint, is driving the growing take-up of these solutions across the security and fire industries in preference to more traditional linear power supplies.
Alongside this we are also bringing to market cutting-edge, Power over Ethernet, standby power supplies, a solution to help meet the fire industry standard (EN54-23) for visual alarm devices (VAD), a cost effective in-line UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and a modular external siren."
