Civil Aviation Authority partners with Security Institute

Caldecote, Warwickshire

At their Annual Conference, held on Tuesday 3rd October, the Security Institute confirmed that it has entered into a Group Membership arrangement with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the UK’s specialist aviation regulator.

The scheme will enable security specialists within the CAA Aviation Security Directorate to become members of the Institute and obtain professional Membership status. The new arrangement will enable about 50 members of the CAA team to join the Institute.

Peter Drissell , CAA Director Aviation Security, said “The CAA are delighted to enter into partnership with the Security Institute which will ensure our team of security professionals keep up to date with the latest industry advancements and have the opportunity for ongoing development.”

Andrew Nicholls, Deputy Chairman of the Security Institute, said “We are delighted to be able to make this announcement at our annual conference as it brings together several weeks of discussion and we are very much looking forward to working with the CAA in the future”.
