Bold Locator global tracking module protects multiple lone workers

Warrington, Cheshire

Bold's Gemini integrated alarm receiving centre software now supports Global Online Positioning for asset and personnel protection with the "Locator" module. A proliferation of legislation in recent years has created new liabilities for employers for the safety of their staff, which has in turn generated monitoring opportunities for existing and new alarm receiving centres. In response, the alarm receiving centres are now finding that they need to support multiple lone worker protection devices from different manufacturers and this has led to a demand for an open platform, integrated monitoring solution.
Bold Locator not only provides an effective platform for managing a range of popular third party lone worker monitoring devices but it is also ideal for the multi-functional control room, supporting as it does a wide range of other security and safety applications such as intruder alarm, fire and CCTV. As part of the Gemini .Net based integrated suite of monitoring software, this allows all assets and people within an organisation to be managed within a single SQL-based system.

The Locator module has a wide range of features to ensure that an immediate response can be generated as soon as a call for help is raised and to comply with the new BS:8484 standard for lone worker monitoring. These include automated alarm handling, escalation procedures, geofence and URN support for Police response. Supporting a wide range of lone worker devices, including Romad, TWIG and Identicom, full user training is provided and an easy to use web interface allows subjects to manage their own administration.

Fully integrated into the Gemini central station monitoring solution and supported by Bold’s 24/7 service facility, according to the manufacturer the Locator delivers the highest possible level of lone worker protection and operational ease of use.
