The Farnborough Air Show attracts a large contingent of commercial aviation specialists, as well as thousands of families who enjoy spectacular flying displays as well as the attractions that the air show has to offer.
In charge of everything CCTV-related, Don Wetherell of Mobile CCTV Ltd is moving with the times supplementing analogue cameras with high-resolution digital imagery. Meeting his client’s requirements for more detailed vision. One of Don’s biggest concerns of the new technology, was the staff operating the cameras were more familiar with joystick control keyboards rather than a mouse which is the preferred option with IP related digital images.
Building Block Video with the company's Asgard HD decoder keypad was selected as an ideal solution. The Asgard keypad is able to take control of all the available IP cameras on the system, switching automatically from one camera to another, streaming high-resolution video to display images on an HDMI monitor. It's substantially high resolution means that a larger screen can be used, with crystal clear images that fully support the security and safety needs of any venue or event. The new Asgard HD keypad also means that there is no need for a PC or laptop, simply plug in and go. The installation was rapid and painless meeting his client’s requirements for deployment within the shortest time possible and with minimum disruption at such a prestigious event.
Don from Mobile CCTV was delighted. He found the new system intuitive, easy to use and a considerable time-saver. Safety, security and crowd comfort were never at risk. Don Wetherell explained. "The new IP technology really made a difference to the services that we were able to offer the Farnborough Air Show. In fact, we trialed both the "old" and "new" options and the Asgard product is definitely the way forward. As ever BBV’s customer service was second to none. It was a slick operation indeed."
