Alcatraz AI appoints new VP of Operations

Cupertino, Ca (USA)

Alcatraz AI has appointed Annie Pratt as the company’s next Vice President of Operations. As a leader with proven success in product launch, management, and design, Pratt will play a key role in Alcatraz AI’s executive leadership team’s ongoing procedures and future initiatives for enterprise and Fortune 2000 customer hyper-growth.

Pratt is a creative problem solver and operator with a background in building and scaling technology businesses. Pratt brings with her an expertise in product management, including the launch of software solutions in a hardware-as-a-service business model.

After studying Product Design at Stanford, where she received the Stanford Award of Excellence as a top 10% student for her commitment to leadership, Pratt joined the Axon Enterprise team. During her five year tenure with the company, Pratt served as Product Manager and Director of Consumer Products. In these roles, she oversaw the company’s launch of connected camera and software solutions in a hardware-as-a-service business model for law enforcement, including the dash camera product line. She then went on to run the Consumer Products business unit with its own P&L, dedicated sales, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality functions.

Pratt joins Alcatraz AI most recently from Atlis Motor Vehicles (now Nxu), where she became a member of the founding team as President. There, she drove operations across the business, including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, programme management, finance, fundraising, legal, marketing, and business development functions. In 2022, Pratt and her team took the company public on Nasdaq, after which Annie oversaw the team’s navigation of the changing public market.

With Alcatraz AI, Pratt will be an integral figure of the executive team, overseeing the company’s ongoing diverse operations and procedures, and ensuring business efficiency. In this role, Pratt’s key responsibilities include having a hand in operations, legal matters, product, engineering, marketing, financial growth, and sales. Pratt’s ability to drive day-to-day operations and provide strategic advice to team members will enable her to ensure that Alcatraz AI is set up for sustainable growth.

“We’re excited to welcome Annie as our new VP of Operations and to have her as a key figure on our leadership team. As we continue building our roster of large enterprise clients, Annie will be an invaluable asset in scaling operations and driving our 100% customer satisfaction score,” said Tina D’Agostin, CEO of Alcatraz AI. “Her experience and strategic insight will be instrumental in optimising our processes and driving operational excellence across the board. We look forward to seeing how Annie’s leadership elevates our team and enables Alcatraz AI to hyper-scale.”

"The opportunity to work alongside Alcatraz AI’s impressive leadership team is inspiring, and I look forward to helping drive further innovation in an ever-changing landscape," said Pratt. "I’m excited to spearhead operations, and to work hands-on with the high-horsepower Alcatraz AI team that is already paving the way in the biometric access space as we work to grow the company’s presence amongst big enterprise players."
