Detektor International Awards - IoT and Security Solutions Category finalists

The following are the final three nominees for the IoT and Security Solutions category in no particular order:

Genetec of Canada for the Security Center SaaS

Security Center SaaS is an open, scalable SaaS platform for the enterprise class that combines several security functions, such as, access control and license plate recognition – in a single system.

Based on a hybrid SaaS architecture, the new solution allows organisations to move components and sites to the cloud where they can be served by cloud-based services and cloud-managed devices, combined with edge-based storage and processing. With its open architecture, Security Center SaaS gives organisations the freedom to choose the devices that work best for their business, whether door control devices, readers, cameras or other devices.

The service-based business model – which Security Center SaaS offers – provides a simple tier-based subscription model where the number of device connections determines the cost, regardless of the device choices.

Assa Abloy of Sweden for Abloy Cumulus

Abloy Cumulus is a cloud-based access management platform that enables companies to manage doors, gates and other access points via a single central platform. Through Abloy Cumulus, users can control both physical and digital keys, providing flexibility and security, especially in larger properties or geographically dispersed facilities.

The platform enables remote monitoring and administration in real time, which facilitates flexible and secure access management for different types of businesses. With Cumulus, users' smartphones eliminate key management problems, as new and changed authorisations can be issued quickly and conveniently. Personal, encrypted mobile credentials unlock all authorized Abloy Cumulus devices, wherever they are located.

In addition, the Cumulus Controller offers mobile unlocking via Bluetooth to electric or electronic locks of any make, with compatible cables. Each locking device provides comprehensive audit trails to improve a company's situational awareness.

Securify/TKG Security of Sweden/USA for the Corecommand

Corecommand is a multi-domain open software platform for perimeter surveillance, with integrated radar, EO/IR cameras, AI video analytics and intrusion prevention effectors. It enables security teams to manage the entire lifecycle of security incidents – from detection to containment – across land, water and airspace, ensuring mission-critical decision-making.

Corecommand is to a surveillance system to radar what VMS systems are to cameras. The software collects data from various sensors, such as radar and other PIDS (Perimeter Security Detection Systems), and visualises events on a map view, allowing security operators to quickly react to movement and potential threats.

Corecommand stands out with its vendor-agnostic approach, seamlessly integrating with third-party sensors, VMS and PSIM systems to maximize detection performance and minimize unnecessary alarms, allowing operators to focus on real threats.

The scalability and flexibility make Corecommand suitable for everything from small, but critical sites, to large-scale facilities, regardless of whether the mission concerns protection over land, water, air or all domains simultaneously.
