As the chief architect and steward of the ARTPEC SoC since the 1990s, Stefan has been a driving force behind Axis’ in-house SoC development. His work has contributed to Axis’ continued ability to provide high quality, cyber secure products that meet customer needs.

Beyond Axis, Stefan’s work has redefined what’s possible in the security industry. The technologies he has helped develop shape today’s industry standards and inspired further advancements across the security industry. His efforts have been a fundamental driver in the entire industry switching from analogue to IP.

From his work on the Neteye 200, the world’s first network camera, to today’s introduction of AV1 into the security industry, Stefan has helped usher in an era of smarter, more efficient, and more secure video solutions.
