According to the organisers, the show was moved to next year because the Kingdom’s international travel restrictions still remain in place, impacting the ability to plan ahead for the show. The decision was taken after extensive consultation with key trade partners, exhibitors and supporters of the event.

Intersec Saudi Arabia is supported by key government entities including the Saudi Ministry of Interior, Saudi Civil Defense, and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), together with the industry at large.

The organisers, the UAE arm of Messe Frankfurt, in a statement said that Saudi Arabia is the largest and fastest growing market for security, safety, and fire protection in the Middle East, and that they value and understand the importance of Intersec Saudi Arabia within the Kingdom. "We are committed to working closely with our key partners to help accelerate growth within the market and achieve Saudi Arabia’s 2030 vision."
