AMG Systems with offices in the UK and the USA has completed the Genetec certification process for the AMG Integration with Security Center and have been officially certified by Genetec.

Integrating AMG switches with the Genetec Security Center environment allows Genetec users to gain insights and control over their AMG industrial or commercial-grade switches. Now, the AMG570 and AMG510 series models are visible within the Genetec environment as native entities, offering control and alarm capabilities. The Genetec Security Center offers a robust, enterprise-grade solution well-suited for multi-site, security-intensive operations that demand scalability, integration, and unified management. AMG products present a natural integration with this offering.

Benefit to both companies

Steve Clarke, AMG's Managing Director, confirms, “Our team has worked closely with the Genetec certification team. We view Genetec as one of the top video management systems (VMS) platforms, and being certified by Genetec will be a major benefit to both companies’ customers. AMG switches can be discovered and added as native Genetec entities, allowing managing and monitor your network infrastructure of AMG products to gain insight into your switch state directly from the VMS. Very few switch manufacturers have this certification.”

According to Thibaut Louvet, Genetec Senior Director of Professional Services, “Genetec has completed a thorough evaluation of AMG Systems Ltd’s Network Device Management integration against the provided use cases and concluded that it meets Genetec ’s functionality and quality criteria. Considering this, we confirm that AMG Systems’ Network Device Management integration is now certified by the Development Acceleration Program (DAP) to run with the Genetec Security Center.”

Tom Exley, AMG Technical Director, adds, “Integrating AMG switches within the Genetec Security Center will allow smart alerting and provide real-time alerts to ensure a proactive response to any network-related issues, control switch ports, Power-over-Ethernet, and contact closure inputs and outputs from within the Genetec software. Users gain insight into the health and status of the network with switch and port statistics, including ARP cache and MAC table monitoring. Harnessing the Genetec automation rules to trigger contact closures or shutdown ports without the requirement of manual interventions. The Genetec Security Center integration is a major advancement for the acceptance of AMG switches and gives Genetec users another strong reason to use AMG in their applications.”
