Hikvision shows retail industry how AI can transform their future

Hoofddorp, the Netherlands

Hikvision, the world’s leading supplier of innovative video surveillance products and solutions, has presented with a stand at the World Retail Forum in Amsterdam, held at the Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel and Conference Centre on 15-16 March 2018.

The forum provides the retail trade with a platform to understand Smart stores, E-commerce, M-commerce and Online Marketing. Hikvision has also presented as a speaker, on the role artificial intelligence (AI) can play in leading retail to its next generation.

Hikvision’s stand at the Forum gave attendees the opportunity to explore the company’s retail solutions and find out more about the latest products that can bring retailers into the future. People counting and Facial recognition technologies can provide valuable business insights, for example.

Jerry Wang, Technical Project Manager at Hikvision Europe, who were presenting last week, said: “We are making great strides in the use of AI in surveillance. We are showing whole new values to customers – for example, the use of cameras to gather business intelligence, like footfall information and store ‘hotspots’. It’s no longer only about securing people and property, although we can, of course, help with that too!”
