The aim of the roadshow, which was led by Chuck Davies, Hikvision’s Senior Director of Cybersecurity, was to raise awareness of key cyber security concerns and give tips on how to combat them. Chuck visited 6 countries across Europe in the tour, telling Hikvision’s cyber security story to customers and answering their questions on how best to secure their surveillance solutions.

The tour was attended by more than 500 Hikvision partners and customers in Frankfurt, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Oslo, Best, Prague, Maarssen, and finally Hoofddorp.

Chuck says: “The roadshow has been very successful. We had some great discussions around timely issues, with intelligent questions from an engaged audience."

He added: “The cyber security road show is all about education and awareness. We are in the security industry, which exists to protect people from threats. Cyber security is no different so we, as an industry, must learn how to protect people from both physical and cyber security threats since they are rapidly merging.”

To provide more guidance on these issues, Hikvision has also released a new cyber security ebook called ‘Being Secure – Guide to maximizing cyber security for surveillance’.
