Dallmeier releases economic Primeline camera series

Regensburg, Germany

With the new Primeline series network cameras, Dallmeier introduces a potent addition to its existing portfolio consisting of the Nightline series with extreme light sensitivity and the Topline/Ultraline series with very high to ultra-high resolution. With the news series, Dallmeier can offer its customers outstanding cost-effectiveness for medium requirements.

The new cameras are available as either the DF5100HD-DN/IR box camera with wall mounting or DDF5100HD high definition dome cameras, each in 2 megapixel and 4 megapixel versions. The exceptional light sensitivity of the sensor and the sophisticated image processing solution enable detail-rich colour recordings even in dim lighting conditions.

Daytime and night operation of the wall-mounted DF5100HD-DN/IR is supported by uniform IR illumination with semi-discrete 850 nm high-performance LEDs. In IR mode, the camera’s enhanced infrared sensitivity delivers excellent results, satisfying even the strictest demands in 24-hour operation.

Fast installation and commissioning are important cost factors. With the motor-driven varifocal lens and “Digital Image Shift” function, the camera’s zoom, focus, shutter and image detail can be set conveniently via a web browser.

Like all Dallmeier cameras, the new models of the Primeline series are made entirely in Germany, at the Dallmeier site in Regensburg. Even this point reinforces the manufacturer’s data protection and data security strategy, since there is no chance of unauthorised access through “backdoors”. With a total of 14 functions such as the creation of private zones, people masking and the very latest encryption and authentication technology in the processing chain, Dallmeier solutions ensure that the stringent requirements of the EU-GDPR as well as data protection and data security are met. With particular reference to video technology and the GDPR, the manufacturer also offers detailed information.

The integrated Video Content Analysis (VCA) function detects movements and objects in the uncompressed image and analyses them in real time (depending on the analysis resolution) with highly sophisticated analysis approaches including for example Intrusion Detection or Line Crossing. The detected incidents may be used to trigger recording on the Dallmeier Smavia recording systems and are saved together with their metadata for subsequent pinpoint retrieval during forensic analysis.

The camera is equipped with a RAM memory which stores the stream temporarily in the event of a network failure. As soon as the network is restored, the SmartBackfill function takes over the responsibility for transmitting the temporarily stored stream to the Smavia recording system. The recording system saves the video stream at high speed and then seamlessly resumes recording the live stream.
