Hangzhou, China

Dahua Technology, a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products headquartered in Hangzhou, China, has officially launched the XVR, a true penta-brid video recorder, at Essen this week.

The Dahua XVR has been designed as a one for all recorder which supports 4 mainstream analogue camera types on the market as well as IP cameras. It offers compatibility as well as storage flexibility.

The Dahua XVR is a newly developed HD video recorder based on industry leading open structure to be compatible with multiple access technologies. It is an effective solution to upgrade existing video surveillance systems. The XVR supports 4 mainstream analogue camera types, not only traditional CVBS (analogue) cameras, but also HDCVI, AHD and TVI , as well as IP cameras. Moreover, the XVR recognises the signal formats from camera automatically, including both Dahua cameras and third party cameras. True plug & play makes operation more user friendly and convenient. All these features go to make the XVR a true penta-brid video recorder.

POC (power over coaxial) helps the XVR to simplify network cable construction for the installer, eases power cable wiring and maximizes user benefits. In addition, users can switch video channel type in the OSD menu or from the HDCVI UTC controller.

The Dahua XVR is housed in a newly designed chassis with a low-noise fan and hive structure heat dissipation. Smart H.264+ codec is applied to the XVR offering a saving of up to 50% on bandwidth and storage. The upgraded electronic power components and interface protection enhance the XVR’s quality in terms of anti-cross-talk, anti-ESD and anti-surge.
