Civintec Crystal keypad readers support RS485 OSDP protocol

Civintec Global, specialists in contact and contact-less smart cards, biometric readers, and terminals, have recently launched a new RFID/NFC Bluetooth keypad reader, which is due to be showcased at the ISC West show tin Las Vegas, USA, in April.

The new Crystal-series Keypad reader, is equipped with a 3.5" touch-screen and 2.4” OLED display, and features not only RFID and NFC Bluetooth, but also RS485 OSDP (Open Supervised Device Protocol) technology.

Accordingly, the Crystal Keypad is an ideal solution for mobile applications with no key-touch operation required. Through ISO18092 NFC, Bluetooth technology with the technology of RS485 OSDP, Crystal Keypad readers perform wireless-communication with high security by using encryption and authentication via secret AES keys.

Civintec's brand-new OSDP RFID/NFC Bluetooth Keypad reader supports data transmission via Ethernet, wifi and GPRS, USB, and other tech-edge options and offers users rich features and flexibility in various applications. The reader is built around an open development platform; Civintec offers the product with an SDK and API for advanced software integration enabling their business partners and clients to build comprehensive custom solutions.

The Crystal reader is equipped with an OLED display with mechanical keypad that is compliant to IP-65 water- and weather-proof standards for wide applications both indoors and outdoors.
