Zavio shows highlights at Security Essen 2016

Hsinchu, Taiwan

Founded in 2006, Zavio has been one of the earlier surveillance companies focusing purely on IP. At the Security Essen 2016 show coming up on 27-30 September in Essen Germany, Zavio will showcase its full range and latest developments in IP surveillance solutions.

Zavio maintains a relentless pursuit for improvement and aims to provide its customers with the most cost-efficient products that will not only look good on the spec sheet, but will also be better appreciated in real-life conditions. At the  Security Essen show at the end of this month, Zavio will showcase its full range of IP surveillance solutions with latest technologies of Smart codec + H.265, adaptive IR, and video capture in starlight conditions.

Zavio has successfully developed a proprietary Smart codec + H.265, which supports a reduction on bandwidth and storage requirements of up to 80% when compared to the standard H.264. When combined with H.265 technology, Smart codec’s intelligent algorithms constant analysis and optimisation of the video streams allow the bitrates to be further reduced while maintaining the image quality.

Many people know about the importance of Smart IR, but few have truly experienced the power of the adaptive IR. Zavio’s adaptive IR provides two dimensions of adaptations. Firstly, the angle of the IR illuminators will automatically change in sync with the camera’s zoom position; and secondly, the brightness of the IR illuminators will automatically adjust to the scene content, preventing overexposure of the object that is too close to the camera.

Speaking of startlight performance, Zavio Starlight cameras are designed to capture highly detailed colour images even under challenging lighting conditions. This feature is very useful especially when the colour information is vital for the recognition and identification of an object in low light applications, such as parking lots, construction sites, and even city surveillance. Combining cutting-edge sensor technology, advanced noise reduction and high frame rate, Starlight cameras can capture fast moving objects with minimum ambient light.
