Waferlock launches ANSI fingerprint Duo Lock

Taichung, Taiwan

Waferlock, manufacturer of locks and access control systems, recently launched their newest ANSI fingerprint Duo Lock, WEL-3900, at Security Essen 2012 in Germany.
The latest innovation from Waferlock for the coming year is the WEL-3900, ANSI fingerprint Duo Lock, that is designed to combine transponder, finger print, key code, and key override in one lock. The transponder supports cards in Mifare Classic, or any ISO14443A code types. With a reading distance of >=3cm, the lock system provides high accuracy for fast access and security protection. Each WEL-3900 can be programmed for up to as many as 90 users; and amongst those, there is a maximum number of 20 users whose fingerprint can also be combined in the system.

The WEL-3900 is able to use a 9V external power supply (4pcs x AA 1.5V) for around 25,000 operations or a standby power of up to 2 years. The system is designed to fit within a door thickness of 38mm ~ 100mm with a built-in mechanical cylinder hole on escutcheon for override. It is compliant to IP54 standards in order to withstand dust and moisture ingress at installation sites.

The device also features an anti-panic exit function with mortice lock, adjustable voice volume control, acoustic low power warning, built-in RF alarm transceiver and anti-theft function with alarm controller. The WEL-3900 is an ideal choice for applications such as apartments, residential houses, hostels and room-rental business use.
