The core element of V.A.S. product line is a high-quality 3D sensor technology, which was developed by V.A.S. themselves. This feature supports parameters such as sensitivity, direction detection, and virtual fences. Weather conditions, sunlight, reflections, and almost any other type of disturbance can be ignored reliably in motion detection - even at night! Only relevant movements will set off an alarm.

The main installations come from the classic Linux-based complete video alarm system. It analyses analogue cameras on the basis of industry-PCs and is set up by specialised installers. Typical customers are for example car dealers, electric shops, shipping companies, disposal companies, DIY-shops, prisons or waterworks.

V.A.S. has launched IP-based products with a pure video sensor functionality as a trigger for third party systems.

The latest and smartest product is in in cooperation with Axis: The first video sensor worldwide, which can be implemented directly on the Axis camera and run from there (plugin). This sensor plug-in is installed automatically on the camera from any PC via the network, replacing or extending the built-in Axis motion detection by a high-quality 3D video alarm sensor. This sensor is suitable for outdoor surveillance and exceeds the range of functions of the built-in Axis motion detection: False alarms are reduced by a factor of 20-30. The sensor is completely integrated into the Axis camera management or event handling respectively. Expensive external video sensor solutions are no longer necessary.
