Varifo IP camera features digital WDR

Hangzhou, China

Varifo, a fast-growing brand and manufacturer based in China, has digital a wide dynamic range function to the high-end remote focus and zoom series as well as its economic 960P series; this will improve and bring these cameras up to a new level of image quality within the Varifo IP camera portfolio.

When a person enters a darker indoor environment from a brightly lit outdoor environment, or if someone stands near an environment which has lots of reflected light such as an office building, it is often difficult for a typical camera to reliably identify persons, objects, vehicles, and other activity details. This is a universal phenomenon experienced every where in the world.  The solution to this problem? Digital wide dynamic range.

Digital WDR (wide dynamic range) is the feature that handles a wide range of lighting conditions in a scene with extremely bright and dark areas or in backlit situations where a person is in front of a bright window.  In these cases, a typical camera would normally reproduce dark images where people or actions are hard to verify. With digital WDR, no part of the image turns out too dark or too bright even in such difficult lighting conditions; cameras with digital WDR are able to solve this challenge by applying various techniques to enable objects in both bright and dark areas to be visible at all times within the images produced.

Varifo has added digital wide dynamic range (WDR) to improve the image quality of its motorised lens series (VR-C5304H, VR-C8301VH-Z), 1080P network camera (VR-C5303H), and 960P IR mini bullet type (VR-C5101H). This means that the Varifo IP camera solution has been enhanced in terms of quality and performance for day and night, 24/7.
