Vanderbilt prepares to roll out Cloud solution in US

Parsippany, NJ (USA)

Whilst the majority of the product offerings acquired through its recent corporate purchases are still only available to Vanderbilt’s European customers, the company is getting ready to roll out a new cloud access control service to clients in the United States, namely the ACT365.

Vanderbilt's recent European acquisitions, including Siemens Security Products and ACT, have not only expanded the company’s global footprint and research and development capabilities, but have also enabled them to offer an end-to-end security system consisting of video surveillance, access control and intrusion detection solutions.

According to Vanderbilt CEO Joseph Grillo, one of the things that made ACT such an attractive acquisition target was the fact that they already had a fully built cloud solution which could help get his company into the cloud space much quicker than having to create one organically.

It is planned for ACT365 to make its official U.S. debut at ASIS 2017 in September in Dallas, later this year, and it is currently being piloted in several applications.

ACT365 is designed for use in small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs), as it is ideal for those who wish to adopt a more comprehensive security solution into their operations but perhaps do not have the resources to do so with traditional solutions.

The ACT offeirng also includes a video capability, in terms of video control unit or VCU.  This feature is fully integrated into all of ACT’s product lines and Joe Grillo has confirmed that the company is currently in the midst of test marketing and beta testing the cloud-based video solution in Europe.  This offering is also due to launch as a follow-up to the access control product release into the U.S. market at a later date.
