Theia to demo prototype lenses

Wilsonville, Or

Theia will demonstrate prototypes of its 190 degree 16-20 megapixel fisheye lens on their stand at the forthcoming ASIS 2014 in Atlanta, September 29th through to October 1st this autumn.

The 190 degree lens is designed to support a 1.2 micron pixel size and provide >400 lp/mm resolution in the centre and > 200 lp/mm at the 85 degree off axis field angle - right where you need the most resolution.  The M12 mount lens supports 1/2.5", 1/2.3" and 1/2" sensors.

In addition, installers can now connect their Theia lenses to Gopro Hero3 or Hero3+ black cameras with the new Ribcage mod kit. The Ribcage by Backbone is a mod that allows users to install their CS-Mount or C-Mount lenses on  their Gopro camera. By means of readily available adapter rings, any manual lens may be attached.

Theia Technologies can design and manufacture lenses to customised specifications, this is how the company achieved the above solution for Gopro on selected Hero series cameras.
