Ten new product offerings from Axis

Lund, Sweden

Axis Communications is enhancing its comprehensive lineup of fixed dome network cameras with the launch of ten new additions - including the Axis Q35 Series and the Axis P32 Series as well as two additions to its existing Axis P33 Series.
The Axis Q35 network camera series is suited for high-end video surveillance installations offering HDTV 1080p resolution at 60 fps, electronic image stabilisation or wide dynamic range - dynamic capture (WDR) technology. The Axis P32 network camera series is designed to meet quality and cost demands of volume deployments featuring HDTV video quality and remote zoom and focus.

“The Axis P33 Series is a customer favourite offering high image usability and great reliability coupled with features we were first on the market with such as remote zoom and focus. The new Axis Q35 and Axis P32 series complement the existing offering with both high-end and affordable camera options," says Erik Frännlid, Director of Product Management, Axis Communications. “The Axis Q35 series delivers maximum performance meeting the demands of critical infrastructure or airports and railway stations. The Axis P32 series addresses the need of customers requiring high quality at an affordable price point, for example in retail installations."

The new Axis Q35 series consists of the Axis Q3505-V for indoor installations and the Axis Q3505-VE for outdoor installations, both with wide and tele lens options. The cameras deliver smooth and steady video with HDTV 1080p video recording at 60 frames per second and electronic image stabilization (EIS). The intelligent operational functions of the cameras allow operators to use live zoom for example together with the Gatekeeper application to get closer views of people or vehicles. The cameras can seamlessly transition between handling strong variations in light (WDR) and low-light conditions. The IK10-rated and dust-resistant indoor model and the IK10+ impact resistant outdoor model, together with vibration resistance and shock detection - an automatic alarm sent to the operator if the camera is hit -make the cameras ideal for installations with a need for highly durable and reliable video surveillance.

The new Axis P32 series consists of four vandal-resistant day and night camera models for indoor or outdoor installation. The cameras are designed to meet both the quality and cost demands of the market, while at the same time being easy to use and operate. Featuring varifocal lenses with remote zoom and focus as well as P-Iris control, the cameras provide HDTV image quality both day and night. The indoor Axis P3214-V and the outdoor Axis P3214-VE deliver HDTV 720p video while the indoor Axis P3215-V and the outdoor Axis P3215-VE offer HDTV 1080p video. The option to add intelligent video analytics such as people counting and different camera mounting options with optional accessories make them ideal solutions for retail and other service industries.

The indoor Axis P3365-V and the outdoor Axis P3365-VE are additions to the existing Axis P33 series and provide features such as full HDTV 1080p video and wide angle of view of up to 100 degrees. In line with the Axis P33 series, the new cameras have the same popular design and support remote focus and zoom, P-Iris control and pixel counter. Both cameras are IK10 vandal resistant, have a wide operating temperature range and are suitable for a wide variety of installations.

The new Axis Q35 series, the outdoor models of the Axis P32 series and the two new additions to the Axis P33 series are planned to be available in the end of Q2 2014 through Axis’ distribution channels. The indoor models of the Axis P32 series are planned to be available in Q3 2014.

All of the new cameras are supported by the industry’s largest base of video management software through the Axis Application Development Partner Program, and Axis Camera Station. The cameras include support for Axis Camera Companion, Axis Camera Application Platform, Axis Video Hosting System and ONVIF for easy camera system integration and for application developers to provide the camera with intelligent capabilities.
