TDV VCA with two way people counting

Hsinchu, Taiwan

Triple Domain Vision (TDV) offers a comprehensive line of cutting-edge VCA solutions to enhance and improve system management capacity and performance of a CCTV and/or network surveillance system, the latest solution includes bi-directional people counting.

TDV's People Counting VCA solution deploys cameras that are suspended from the ceiling at a 45-degree downwards bias angle designed to avoid simultaneously capturing several people at the same time, and prevent false counting if passing bodies overlap.

TDV advises that the system should be applied at a doorway or entrance within an area width of less than 2 metres, as the company suggests that this limits the inward and outward flow numbers to 3 - 4 persons bi-directionally at any one time.

This People Counting VCA solution is engineered to effectively verify objects such as hats, backpacks, luggage, and most environmental interference, such as shadows caused by sunlight and the reflection of light by shiny floors or mirrors; all these factors that may potentially affect the accuracy of video analysis and the counting. According to TDV this VCA solution can reach a high level of accuracy even in humid and badly lit conditions.

The TDV VCA solutions are hardware embedded and so require almost no system parameter adjustments to a configured surveillance system in all environmental conditions.
