TDV smoke/fire detection monitors Beijing chimney

Hsinchu, Taiwan

Triple Domain Vision (TDV), an engineering-based comany specilised in embedded video content analytics (VCA) for surveillance, has successfully installed its VCA-flame and smoke detection in Beijing, China.

China, especially Beijing, is known to experience severe haze and air pollution issues. Air pollution affects human health and can cause various diseases. The government in Beijing is now confronting this issue to minimize the problems of haze and/or air pollution in years to come.

According to the official strategy and policy in terms of the functions of smoke and fire detection, TDV was sought out and invited to engineer its fire and flame detection solution into a professional CMS for a local company in Beijing to monitor the chimneys belonging to factories in the territory.

In addition, buildings and/or houses that are built with high ceilings make the use of traditional smoke and fire detection methods impractical, ineffective and difficult to maintain and operate. TDV's Video-based flame and smoke detection has been developped for use in large structures, such as large warehouses, factories, stadiums etc. and the system allows the user to define the sensitivity threshold and ROI(Region of Interest).

When flames or smoke are detected, with the TDV smoke and flame detection sytem, users can verify the alarm condition via live video. Early warning of fire detection will gain more time for users to react to the situation and allow them to take timely and appropriate action to protect lives and property.
