Taiwan police selects Brickcom cameras for City Surveillance

Kaohsiung, Taiwan

Kaohsiung city is the most populated city in the southern part of Taiwan. To better protect this city against crime and crisis, Kaohsiung City Police Department looked to upgrade its video surveillance system.
The challenges the authorities concerned were facing were that the surveillance system must be far reaching, capable of delivering the high quality video during the day and at night, and at a low total cost of ownership and maintenance. The police officers will rely heavily on the system for the traffic monitoring, car number plate surveillance, avenue surveillance, etc. The scale of this project is around 4000 cameras, and is deemed the biggest government project in Taiwan in 2013.

To meet the strict requirements set by the authorities concerned, Brickcom Corporation proposed the complete solution for full-HD IP surveillance over long distances, and won this project. The proposed system includes the Brickcom FB-300Np superior night vision fixed box camera.

The FB-300Np is equipped with the Sony Exmor CMOS sensor and the Brickcom WDR enhancement technology, and is able to deliver the full-HD video (1080p @ 30fps) with outstanding image details, even late at night or if the monitored subject is surrounded by intense back light. The idea of the "complete solution" and the flawless video quality and system stability presented during the field trial are the key factors which convinced the authorities concerned.
