Taipei Grand Hotel area secured by IP surveillance

Taipei, Taiwan

Dentec has won the "Taipei Yuan-shan key traffic monitoring" project of Taipei Traffic Bureau.

The Dentec system was initially tested at a demonstration site, this testing proved successfull and was the reason that Dentec won the project.

The Yuan-shan area is where the world-famous "Grand Hotel Taipei" is situated. The surrounding roads are undergoing reconstruction since 2008. As The Grand Hotel is a famous sightseeing spot where a lot of tourists gather, it has been very important to make the area as safe as possible.

Multiple DENTEC IPC-630B outdoor IP network cameras have been installed at the busiest junction in this area. The junction consists of eleven different traffic directions that merge into a micro traffic system. There are two expressways, three bridges, four roads plus a new bicycle trail under it. As statistics show, there are over fifty thousand cars bypassing this location every day, a number that is estimated to increase in the future.

The entire system is fully operated and controlled from their remote central monitoring center with the DENTEC Central Management System (CMS) via internet. Project manager, Tony Chang, explained: "As there are too many things going on in every minute, a reliable networking monitoring system is the only solution to keep everything under control in clicks away".
