Synology enhances Diskstation Manager

Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire (UK)

Synology has launched the upgraded Diskstation Manager (DSM) 4.1 Beta which is continually evolving to fulfill market requirements.
Synology has designed the DSM for quick remote connection, easy storage configuration, support in virtualisation, and multi-function NAS applications.

In addition to supporting Vmware Vstorage APIs for array Integration (VAAI), Cloud Station, encrypted transmission, HTTPS and proxy server setting, with an overhauled interface for intuitive navigation, the 'Surveillance Station 6' now features four time-sliders corresponding to different channels for video playback to make finding critical moments a lot easier.

DSM offers various object tracking features and includes tally counter, virtual fence and no-idle zones to help users stay alert of intruders. Web APIs make it easy for developers to integrate Surveillance Station within their applications.

“The DSM 4.1 makes Diskstation and Rackstation capable of so much more than you ever imagined. It demonstrates Synology’s unrelenting pursuit to elevate standards for excellence in video surveillance solution and operation experience,” said Vic Hsu, CEO of Synology Inc.
