Suprema releases BioStation RF

Korea

Suprema releases its new BioStation RF with combined fingerprint and a proximity card reader. Together with the fingerprint identification performance, the added RF card option enlarges the application area of BioStation.

BioStation RF has three factors of authentication, fingerprint, PIN and card. The combinations of these three factors generate a flexible and user friendly operation scenario for access control and workforce management. For example, fingerprint can be used for full time workers and RF card can be issued as a bypass card for temporal workers or visitors.

BioStation is an inventive finerprint terminal for time attendance and access control. With a colour LCD with sound, BioStation provides a different level of user interaction using multimedia information. The interface options include wireless LAN and USB memory enabling easy network integration and data transfer without any wiring. The unit is able to store a maximum of 50,000 prints and has a logging capacity of 500,000 events.

In BioStation RF, 125KHz EM technology has been adopted for proximity card reading. The RF card reading part is integrated inside BioStation without any change in appearance. The reading range is long enough to read a card through a thick wallet.
