Sicurezza aims high for 2017

Milan, Italy

Crowded aisles at Sicurezza 2015

After having maintained stability during the crisis years, the various sectors today within the Italian security industry show great vitality and are ripe for development. Among the major drivers are the demand for innovative solutions in the domestic market and the growth opening up in the international markets.

With this as the context, the next edition of Sicurezza – the international show dedicated to security and fire prevention being organised by Fiera Milano and scheduled for 15 to 17 November 2017 – is as of now shaping up to be an event of great interest, that will bring together the technological offerings of many leading brands from Italy and abroad. In fact, the orgaisers are just a few weeks into the sales campaign, and say that already many companies have confirmed they will take part in the show. Some of those that have confirmed include Axel, Ceia, Hikvision, Jablotron, Milestone, and Venitem while there are other important names returning, such as Risco, Came, Sicurit Alarmitalia and UTC Fire & Security.

In the last few years, Sicurezza has continued to take on the challenges of this market that is seeing constant change – starting from the diffusion of IP, all the way to the ever growing integration between physical and logical security – and aims to continue to be an ideal partner for the companies that are paying close attention to this evolution.

Today, the show aims to welcome in a new era in the evolution of security, focusing on customised solutions for every area of application, which in a world that is ever more interconnected, extends all the way to the IoT (Internet of Things), going beyond the confines between physical security and IT security.

For this reason, the 2017 edition is opening up to new industries, which are ever more linked to the changing world of security: from cyber security to the Internet of Things, from drones – a technology that is ever more diffused these days for monitoring and protecting – to fire prevention (detection as well as extinguishing fires), all the way to building automation and smart building.

This time the organisers are investing in a project for top incoming buyers, which entails carefully selecting 200 top international buyers from the markets of greatest interest for companies, with a greater investment as compared to the last edition. The project is focused on identifying the profiles most interested in the solutions on display and with the greatest spending capacity. To optimise the buyers’ time at the show, Sicurezza will once again make the Expo Matching Program (EMP) available. This business networking platform aims to bring together exhibitors and the top hosted buyers directly at the show, after both parties have had the opportunity to carefully study each other’s profiles.
