Shopping mall secured by Hundure solution
Taipei, Taiwan
The project design has been integrated with the Siemens’s BA system. The Hundure access control solution is used at entrances, such as public doorways, parking gates, doors to shops, the hotel’s club and business offices. A special access control solution was required to manage people travelling between the two towers through the connecting bridge.
Setting the schedule to "open" within the solution of combining the access control, patrol control and intruder systems allows hotel guests and office workers to use their access card to pass through the bridge and enter the shopping mall without going outside of the building. When the mall is closed, the door access, other than for authorised personnel, will be automatically disabled and will deny entry when cards are swiped through the system. All access information will be sent to the centre from time to time; including information on who/when/where swiped a card, when a door was opened, the number of people counted in passing through a door, which door was not closed.. etc.
The solution also provides a useful patrol function. When the mall closes and the security officers take to patrol duty, when a card is swiped at the patrol readers, the system will record and communicate the information to the intruder sub-system to automatically activate into an alert function. When the staff of the mall swipe their card next day at the time attendance recorder when reporting for duty, then the signal will be sent to the intruder sub-system to disarm the alert function and will automatically restart the elevators.
