Seoul olympic stadium selects Civintec NFC readers

The Seoul Olympic Stadium is the main stadium built for the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 10th Asian Games in 1986 located in Seoul, South Korea, and with a capacity of over 70,000. Since the Olympics it has hosted a variety of events, notability as a concert venue for Koreans as well as international artists.
For a concert that was held at the Chamsil Olympic Main Stadium in Seoul, with an audience of more than 40 thousand, the management of the stadium selected the Civintec CN670 NFC desktop reader for turnstile access control and e-ticketing system to handle the massive accessing task.

The CN670 NFC desktop reader features the latest RFID contactless card technology and the ISO18092 NFC mobile phone as its entrance device to check visitor badges and authorised mobile phones. It is a 13.56MHz smart card reader/writer, and offers compatibility with ISO18092 near field communication (NFC), and Mifare, Desfire EV1, Mifare Plus, ISO14443B, ISO15693 and Felica, and even NFC 1-4 type N-tags.

More than a traditional PC-linked reader, it can also be integrated into other terminals such as kiosks or turnstiles etc. To enhance security, it is delivered with added protection in the form of embedded SAM, which is ideal for various smart card applications such as access control, personal identification, payments, e-ticketing, with contactless cards or many mobile phone solutions.
