Seagate and WD training seminars in Russia

Two out of the top three global HDD manufacturers met up with Russian sales partners and conducted educational seminars for local customers on video surveillance storage at All-over-IP Expo 2015, being held for the 8th time this year from 18-19 November in Moscow.

WD Director of the company's digital video business, Martin Jefferson kicked off the Global Keynote Theatre on November 19, 2015 with his insight into the future of video surveillance and 4K recording that is now just starting. It's in everyone's interest to understand the challenges to ensure customers brands are not compromised by incorrect storage choices. Martin Jefferson shared storage features required to effectively store and retrieve the high levels of data created by 4K recording.

Seagate Senior FSU Territory Sales Representative Alexander Novichkin went into more specific details of current video surveillance HDD needs at The Storage, Networks, Cloud Conference on November 19, 2015. Hardware Network Video Recorders are the enabler of full HD and 4K technology and they are projected to grow from 25% share to 55% share in the next 3 years. Alexander Novichkin focussed on factors that might affect the integrity of video surveillance archives to ensure correct purchasing decisions on the customer side.

Western Digital and Seagate Technology were also exhibiting at All-over-IP Expo 2015, November 18–19 in Moscow. With the quality and reliability of CCTV storage being at the forefront in 2015, both vendors were showcasing their complete families of hard drives, specifically designed for the surveillance market.
