Scati protects Venezuelan skyscraper
Zaragoza, Spain
The solution to secure BBVA headquarters comprises of more than 20 IP Scati Vision video recorders, more than capable of recording the 700 IP and analogue cameras that have been installed, and with a storage capacity that allows for the capture of high-definition images. From the control centre multiple CCTV systems from 3 individual facilities are managed plus, 300 bank branches and more than 1,000 ATMs distributed along the Venezuelan geography.
Moreover these video recorders are managed from three Scati Watcher management workstations, with hardware redundancy, located in the control centre of the building and with support for the AMC (Advanced Management Center).
In the main control centre, there is also the powerful management and monitoring tool Scati Wall, which allows for the receipt of alarms/events and associates them with images and automatic actions. As a result, the user can manage and visualise all the cameras installed in the building from a single place, configuring the scenarios that best suit his distribution and critical areas for video surveillance. The control centre is composed of two virtual matrices with two Scati Wall operators, over four display units, and each one, able to manage up to 64 cameras and visualise scenarios of up to 36 cameras at 30 fps (frames per second) simultaneously with HDTV resolution or up to 4 CIF (for analogue cameras).
The project also entails the design and installation of a dedicated fibre network, with redundancy between control centres by means of a backbone of 20 GLbps and a latest generation network infrastructure that ensures the best performance of the CCTV system, and the availability of the video and growth for the future.
Sistemas Avanzados Ibersegur, specialists in security integration systems for banks and large facilities from the energy sector were the integrators, engineers and designers for the project.
“The hybrid video management solution provided by Scati, allows a phased migration to an IP system, using existing cameras without overstretching the recording equipment and managing IP and analogue cameras at the same time”, remarked Ángel Cano, Ibersegur General Manager and adds “On the other hand, this solution offers great facilities for integration with other systems within the building such as access control and intrusion detection and ensures easy security management from a single control centre”.
“It is essential for Scati to work hand in hand in the design of such a comprehensive solution with the end-user and the system integrator to meet our customer needs. Ibersegur has been a fundamental player in this project as it is they who have carried out all the integration and installation of the systems” commented Alberto Perez, Scati Sales Director.
