Scati helps Colombian BBVA reduce fraudulent ATM activity

Zaragoza, Spain

The BBVA bank in Colombia and Scati Labs, the specialist manufacturers in video solutions within the field of security, have developed an ambitious project involving the integration of data frame operations. The solution has enabled the bank to strengthen its ATM network from fraud and/or attacks.
Scati was selected by BBVA in Colombia to provide a solution capable of associating the traceability of operations to the video on its ATM network.

With more than 400 branches in the Andean country, BBVA Colombia has increased security measures by implementing the Scati solution for ATMs and / or cash posts.

Recorders installed at ATMs have been perfectly integrated with the data frame of the operation and allow the user to track cards and actions through the video, identifying fraudulent activities in real time and thus allowing prompt reaction time.

Martha Leuro, responsible for fraud management and information security at BBVA Colombia, has indicated that “From a preventive security standpoin, the Scati solution allows automated processes to enable the detection of suspicious transactions at any of our ATMS', and as a result we have drastically reduced the volume of fraudlent activity ".
