Robot to be remotely control-able via bluetooth

The innovative Robot is innovated by the team that hosted by Dr. Tsai of Lan-Yang Institute of Technology that is one of the allied institutes of The Northern Regional Industry-University Cooperation Center in Taipei, Taiwan.

The Robot is designed to move smoothly and nimbly. Optionally equipped a tablet at head position, the robot support to do video surveillance and conferencing with remote-control via mobile devices at afar sites. 

In term of light-weight and strong concern, its body and arms are made of aluminum alloy. Ten servo motors are used to make the neck and arms turn. Joins of arms are designed using connecting rods and bearings to pull and move elbows where equipped no motors; this makes arms light-weighted yet remain robust. There are two DC-motors-drive wheels at the bottom to move the Robot forward, backward, as well as turn left and right.

It is use Micro-controller with proprietary program to control the servo motors and DC motors in the Robot. This makes to move its to all direction, to turn its neck/head and to operate arms for advanced gestures. Through Bluetooth transmission, it is possible to remotely control the Robot via APP in a mobile phone at a distance. 

At its head, there a position to place a tablet. In using the camera and communications functions of the tablet, this extend the capability of the Robot, like as entertainment, remote surveillance, video conference, remote medicare, security onsite check, business reception, or exhibition navigation assistance,…etc., for more applications today and in the near future.
