RISCO Group to launch new Security Alarm System

Tel Aviv, Israel

The new Gardtec 490x panel from Risco is a hybrid system and complies with EN 50131-1 Grade 2.

RISCO Group is launching their latest security alarm system, the Gardtec 490x. Following the success of the Eurosec CP8 and CPX series, RISCO Group has developed the 400 series.
The 490x is part of the popular Gardtec range of control panels and now allows installers to offer the same system with wireless expansion, making the 490x a completely hybrid system. The 400 Series (480 and 490x) follow the strictest PD6662 and EN 50131-1 Grade 2 standards. Both of these panels are suitable for residential and light commercial installations.
As a leading innovator in the security field, RISCO Group realizes that in order to design the best products and serve its customers better it is crucial to be tuned in to its customers' requirements and take on board their feedback. This is how RISCO Group has managed to improve on an outstanding product and develop the most cutting edge solutions that allow the customers to expand their business opportunities with more features and accessories. RISCO Group has studied the EN 50131 standards and applied them within the products.
The new Gardtec 490X Control Panel comes in a larger metal end station to accommodate a 9 Amp Battery with space for wiring. The Gardtec 490x is expandable up to 9 -16 zones via zone doubling, with 15 user codes and 300 event logs. It also has an onboard modem & communicator and has Upload/Download remote programming capabilities. Additionally, RISCO Group's well known Program Transfer Module (PTM) can be used with the 490x for easy programming. EN50131 now also stipulates that in the event of power loss your battery needs to support the system for a minimum of 12 hours, which has increased from 8 hours.
Another new product designed specifically for the 400 series is a new profile keypad that is very similar in features and aesthetics to the Contour Remote Keypad. The Profile keypad has a dedicated Entry/Exit code, an on-board Access Zone and two separate buttons for police alert. This is to avoid false alarms while setting/unsetting the system.
The wireless expansion enabled with the 490x only, includes all possible wireless detectors required in a residential or commercial installation; PIR, PIR Pet, smoke, flood sensor, magnetic contacts, shock sensor and more. The wireless package also includes a wireless repeater and a transceiver.
According to Mr. Douglas Luscombe, General Manager of RISCO Group UK, "We are dedicated to serving our customers to the highest possible level, we will continue to listen to our customers' feedback and deliver the best products in the market.
