QNAP launches tower NVR for SMB/SOHO users

QNAP Security has launched their newest Linux-based Viostor NVR VS-2100 Pro+, a 2-bay VS-series presented in a tower form factor and available in 4, 8, 12 channels, and specifically designed for SMB and small-office/home office users.
This latest NVR series features robust performance, solid reliability and remarkably high-definition local display. Equipped with the powerful Dual-Core Intel 2.6GHz processor and 4GB DDR3 memory, the new series delivers high performance to ensure stable recording and smooth playback of multiple megapixel IP cameras.

The VS-2100 Pro+ series supports up to 8TB to accommodate high quality H.264, MPEG-4, M-JPEG, and MxPEG recording videos. The server-grade mainboard, system fan, and the heat pipe with fan-less design assure solid reliability for maximized system uptime. Moreover, the HDMI output and hardware decoder of the new models provide the ability to deliver up to 180 fps full HD 1080p video streams.

Managing the VS-2100 Pro+ series is designed to be effortless. The new models support different platforms with the software QNAP Surveillance Client for Windows and for Mac, and the mobile app Vmobile for iOS, Android and Windows Mobile 6.1 to 6.5 devices. In addition to managing the Viostor NVR via the web-based administration interface on computers, remote monitoring of IP cameras is also accessible through Vmobile app by Android phones, iOS devices, and Windows Mobile phones. The mobile app offers great convenience to monitor connected IP cameras anytime on the go.

Other significant features that the VS-2100 Pro+ series provide include fisheye dewarping support, multi-server monitoring, and advanced event management. The fisheye dewarping function allows the administrators to view the monitored area in a clearer shape. Multi-server monitoring enables administrators to monitor up to 128 IP cameras by connecting multiple Viostor NVRs and then monitor with one browser on remote computers. Advanced event management helps to ensure that administrators are alerted immediately when critical events happen.

The'Viostor NVR is now compatible with over 1,800 IP camera models from various popular brands. Administrators can enjoy high flexibility in deploying an ideal surveillance solution with the broad-ranged offering of compatible IP cameras.
